There’s no denying that 2020 has been the STRANGEST, longest, and somehow also shortest year on record. Through the reschedules, quarantines, stressful wedding alterations, and constant changes in protocol, my clients have GIVEN.ME.LIFE. This girl right here is no different. I met Caitlin at a styled shoot where she *chose* me as a friend. The rest is honestly history. We’ve shot together, shared experiences, and traded tips/tricks/knowledge. I couldn’t be happier that she has FINALLY married her soul mate! What’s better, is I received the honor of shooting her bridal portraits!

A new take on an old tradition.
I hope you weren’t expecting a super sappy love story…because the first time Caitlin met her husband she literally PUT HIM IN A CHOKE HOLD! Caitlin and her now-hubby own and operate a self-defense studio (Rogue Self Defense – you should seriously check it out). Caitlin is honestly an all around bad-a$$. She teaches krav maga, runs the studio with her husband and is also an extremely talented boudoir photographer (which is actually what we initially bonded over).

Since Caitlin and her hubs are eloping in Hawaii, their families won’t be able to join them. But that doesn’t mean we didn’t still get some first look pics! Even though it wasn’t her “wedding day”, its clear the love happiness her parents and children have for her finally marrying the man of her dreams.

***OK NOW THE FIRST LOOK PICS CAN FINALLY MAKE AN APPEARANCE***
I wish Caitlin and Alex all the happiness in the world as they embark on this new journey! They are two of the most beautiful and pure hearted humans I’ve come across in quite a while. And I know for a FACT that Alex is the luckiest man in the world to stand next to Caitlin for the rest of forever <3
