Colonial Williamsburg, VA Engagement | Zak + Morgan

We meet again you guys!

Zak and Morgan are the epitome of soulmates. You can feel that they were meant to be together from their engagement session at Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia, where I captured this soon-to-be wedded couple’s love story. They will get married on April 3rd 2021—can you believe it!? They'll be holding a micro wedding ceremony in Raleigh at Morgan's sister's house.

Zak and Morgan met by chance at the same college. They were both inducted into an honor fraternity when they first arrived on campus, but it was their shared sense of humor that really solidified their friendship. After bonding over a love for cartoons from childhood, these two are inseparable!

Zak proposed to Morgan with a beautiful and creative surprise! He told her they were going out for pictures but instead, took her down by the water at sunset. Before she knew it he was on one knee asking if she would marry him which is when friends of theirs surrounded them with signs that said "Will you be my wife?" And then Zak whisked his bride-to-be off for ramen as their favorite meal since there are no words better than delicious food after such an eventful day.

They plan to have a great time on their wedding day. They are most looking forward to the food, spending time with friends and family, and then celebrating together after they say "I do."

Wedding details aside, let's get to what's going on in this blog post, Zak and Morgan's engagement! These two were so quirky and have such a unique love for each other. And what better way to document their love story than with an engagement session?. Their good looks, fabulous outfit choices, a sublime location and their genuine love for each other absolutely made this photo shoot. Don’t forget to peep at Nimbus, their brand new 2021 Newfoundland Puppy!

Zak and Morgan were awesome enough participants during this photoshoot-they looked stunning, dressed up super nicely, picked out beautiful locations around Colonial Williamsburg (Nimbus even got into the act!), plus they felt really comfortable being themselves which made my job THAT much easier!

Best of luck to the happy couple! Here's to many, many happy years together!
